He was born on July 28, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan to his late parents Louis and Wanda Puchala.
Raised in Dearborn, Michigan, Larry was a graduate of St. Alphonsus High School and went on to earn
both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mathematics from Wayne State University.
He applied his sharp mind and strong work ethic as a computer programmer, contributing to respected companies such as Stroh Brewery and Chrysler throughout his career. Larry also served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
In retirement, Larry found joy and community at Pine Ridge at Plumbrook, where he spent his later years surrounded by friends and comfort. An avid historian, he had a deep interest in Civil War history and could often be found immersed in books and documentaries. He loved to travel, enjoyed a good game of golf, and never passed up the chance to play a hand of pinochle.
Larry will be remembered for his intelligence, warmth, and the quiet kindness he showed to those around him.
Lawrence was the loving brother of Karen (Robert) Agacinski. Proud uncle of Gail Agacinski, Kenneth (Maureen Brennan) Agacinski, and Steven (Talia Moore) Agacinski. Dear great-uncle of Louis, Dean, James, Alan, Charlie, and Rhys. Cherished best friend of Dennis Duma.
Lawrence will lie In State on Friday, April 11th from10am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Ephrem Catholic Church, 38900 Dodge Park Rd, Sterling Heights, MI. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. Arrangements entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road in Warren.
