Larry was a beautiful soul; generous, kind, and caring. He was a loving father and husband, a thoughtful friend to many. He shared with family, friends, and neighbors a positive, encouraging spirit. Larry loved life, especially time spent at his cottage in Caseville, especially with his dogs, Missy the last of many.
He served in the Army during the Korean War, followed by a rewarding career in law enforcement. He was proud of this generation's law enforcement professionals and continued to be active as a retiree in the FOP Lodge 124 where he served as president many years ago. Blessed are the peacemakers, as he liked to say. May his memory be a blessing to all of us.
Larry was the beloved husband of the late Beverly. Loving father of Shawna (Jim), Linda, and the late Lisa. Adored grandfather of Jennifer (Ryan) and great-grandfather of 2. Also survived by his former son-in-law Matt, and many loving nieces, nephew, extended family members, friends, and neighbors. He was predeceased by parents Elzier and Edith, his siblings Leona and Harold, and his in-laws Bill and Jean St. Louis.
Visitation for Larry will be held on Friday, November 1st from 4:00pm-8:00pm with a Scripture Service at 7pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI. He will lie In State on Saturday, November 2nd from 12:30pm until the time of his Funeral Mass at 1:00pm at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 14025 12 Mile Rd, Warren, MI.
In lieu of flowers, Larry would tell us to appreciate the gift of each day and to be kind to others. It is lightness, peace, and joy he would want us to carry forward.
