Kyleigh Faith Webb, age 20 of Grosse Pointe Farms, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015 at Children's Hospital in Detroit. She was born January 22, 1995 in Detroit, the beautiful daughter of Michael and Lori (nee: Van Elslander) Webb.Kyleigh was a very special girl who had her own unique way of finding joy amidst the pain…happiness amidst the challenges…and peace at the end of the day. She was a shining example to all of how a person can give so deeply and compassionately, even when the odds are stacked against you,…and, yet, leave a positive impact in its wake. And speaking of wakes,…one of those aforementioned joys that lifted her spirits was witnessed each time she boarded a boat and hit the open waters. She loved her boat rides and could never get enough of the fun that accompanied a cruise on the lake with family and friends. As for a bit of on-shore fun and entertainment, Kyleigh always enjoyed a little "alley action" when the bowling itch came over her. Hangin' out at the lanes and rolling for as many X's as possible provided her countless hours of wonderful memories.Another memory that her loved ones will treasure always is the excitement and anticipation that accompanied the family trips up north,…trips that meant the world to Kyleigh. And the real excitement arrived each time she breached the doorway and claimed her favorite sleeping spot,…the coveted Top Bunk! It was there that she could keep an eye on all the action, as well as all the characters in the midst. But in lieu of the "cottage comforts," there was also her love of camping and getting more in tune with nature and the beauty of the Mitten's back country…old fashioned style. Kyleigh was always enamored with fireworks and the sparkle that ensued. We all become kids when the booms and explosions of color fill the sky,…and Kyleigh was certainly no different. But the "real sparkle" was seen each time she found a stage. Possessing a love of music and the desire to sing, Kyleigh's soul and spirit would light up like the 4th of July each time she had the opportunity to get up on stage and let 'er rip! Her singing was a form of expression that touched every heart in the room. As for her favorite entertainer,…well, that just has to be the legendary Ray Charles,…especially when he was crooning her favorite song, "Can't Stop Loving You." Kyleigh also enjoyed watching television, particularly when her favorite movie was in the player, "Monsters, Inc." She could never get enough of the infamous, "Boo," either. Of all the monsters, that was her gal.Yet, perhaps one of the most precious and endearing traits that many will forever reflect upon, with a smile and a chuckle, was Kyleigh's "what you see is what you get" approach to speaking in public, at times. You see,…there were moments when her "filter" was wide open and allowed some pretty colorful language to slip by. She managed to turn a few heads throughout her life, but never with disdain when they came to know (or knew) what a delightful girl existed within. But like the curly-haired dude on Risky Business opined; "sometimes you just gotta say, 'what the #@%&.'" A loving daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend, Kyleigh leaves us far too soon, but not without a storehouse of wonderful memories to cling to, reflect upon, and hold close with each remembrance shared. In her own unique and genuine way, she touched a multitude of hearts and leaves a legacy of love to be cherished by all who were blessed to know this dear soul. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally. May she rest in peace.Kyleigh was the beloved daughter of Michael and Lori. Loving sister of Allyson, Cydney, and the late Kyrsten. Dearest granddaughter of Patricia (the late William) Webb, and Archie & Mary Ann VanElslander. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
