Kenneth Charles Markowski, age 64, passed away July 1, 2015 at his residence in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. He was born July 31, 1950 in Detroit, son of Dorothy Markowski (nee: McGinn) and the late Casimir Markowski. These last few years for Kenneth brought him many challenges,...many of them of the physical nature, but perhaps more profound was the emotional struggle following the death of his beloved Annemarie in 2006. In many ways, his road meandered uphill both ways with little room for healing or refreshment. Yet he soldiered on amidst the trials and did a yeoman's job of making it all look like a cake walk. When you were in his presence, he made you feel as though you were the most important one in the room,...and he would always be looking for something to give to or share with you as a token of his love and care. Kenneth was truly a remarkable person who deserved more, but adjusted to less without a complaint. Born and raised in Detroit, it was quite a few years ago that he made to decision to exchange the major concrete jungle for a smaller version of the same in the less dense city of Mt. Pleasant. Not quite a hamlet, but much more comfortable of an environment for Kenneth to call home. A loving husband, son, brother and uncle, Kenneth leaves behind a storehouse of wonderful memories to be cherished and reflected upon with joy and remembrance. He loved spending time with family,...especially when it came to his precious nieces and nephews. Each time in their company was treasured, and never ceased to make him feel young. May his memory live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him and be loved by him. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally.Kenneth was the beloved husband of the late Annemarie. Loving son of Dorothy Markowski (nee: McGinn) and the late Casimir Markowski. Dearest brother of Jim (Kelley) Markowski and Linda (Stanley) Winiarski. He is also survived by nieces; Lori Green, Lisa (Tim) Papiez, Jennifer (Anthony) Stefani, and nephews; Steve (Sian) Markowski and Jimmy Winiarski, as well as 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
