Kenneth Robert Chrzanowski, age 53, died October 17, 2013 at his home in Warren. A former Macomb County Commissioner, he was born on February 9, 1960 in Hamtramck, son of the Honorable Robert J. and Rose Marie (nee: Wasung) Chrzanowski.Ken attended Warren's Cousino High School where he was part of the graduating Class of 1978. With a vision focused on communications, his furthering education included training at the Specs-Howard School of Broadcasting where his technical skills and knowledge were put to work as a Video Technician for the City of Warren. Everything was clicking along nicely,…until the urge to follow his Dad's lead into public service took hold. After a long campaign, thousands of handshakes, and a ton of smiles, Ken's dream paid off as he was elected to the seat of Macomb County Commissioner. Serving the community brought Ken a considerable amount of pride and afforded him the chance to help make a difference. From challenging the status quo, to knowing and preserving the values of good neighborhoods, to caring for the needs of our seniors, and so much more,…his time in office was most rewarding and an experience that he always held in the highest regard. When he wasn't working, a lot of Ken's downtime was spent enjoying and bolstering his two collections,…Sports Cards and Comic Books. Sometimes the kid in us goes on forever, as it did for Ken each time he held one of his cards or books in his hand,…especially with each new acquisition he snagged. He was also known for his love of music. Whether listening to it or playing it on his guitar, music was a compelling force for Ken, and helped to provided him the perfect escape from time to time.At just 53 years old, his is a life gone far too soon from our presence. Yet in his passing, Ken leaves behind many warm & wonderful memories for all those to embrace who were blessed to know him and to share with him in this grand experience called life.
