Kathy was born on September 14, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to her loving parents Lloyd and Kathleen Silverthorn.
Kathy was a thoughtful, considerate and kind person who always had a gentle smile for those around her. She loved music and had a great appreciation for it. She had been playing the flute since junior high and continued to play throughout her life. She was intelligent and hardworking, as a paralegal for many years. She also stayed active even in her free time, often knitting, crocheting or tending to her garden. Family and faith were her pillars, she was very active at Knox Presbyterian Church in Harrison Township where she and her husband worship. She was a proud mother of four, grandmother of seven and soon to be a great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband Carl Bulak, mother Kathleen Silverthorn, children Lesley (Jeff) Samulski, Lisa (David) Parrill, Michael Malinowski and Jason (Casey) Bulak, grandchildren Hadley, Erika, Justice, Lucas, Bella, Madison and Justin, siblings Renee Silverthorn, Bonnie (Tom) Bartlett and Bruce (Karen) Silverthorn.
Preceding her in passing was her father Lloyd Silverthorn.
Friends may visit the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren, MI 48088 on Thursday, February 29 from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, March 1 at the Knox Presbyterian Church, 25700 Crocker Boulevard, Harrison Township, MI 48045 where Kathy will lie in state from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. with the funeral service taking place at 11:00 A.M.
