Katharina Krist, age 83 of Boynton Beach, Florida, and formerly of Roseville, died Friday, August 15, 2008 at Autumn Woods Health Care Facility in Warren Michigan. Katharina was born October 21, 1924 in Yugoslavia, the daughter of the late John Fassbinder and the late Susanna (nee: Friko) Fassbinder. She is survived by her loving husband Jacob, she is also the dear mother of Robert (Shirley) Krist, and Richard Krist. Loving Oma of Lauren, and Stephanie Krist. Mrs. Krist immigrated to the United States in the early 1950s, and eventually settled with her family in Roseville where she and her husband would reside until their retirement in the early 1980s. During her life Mrs. Krist worked many jobs, but primarily worked for Oven King Cookies, and later the Roseville Public Schools in their cafeteria. After Mrs. Krist retired, she and her husband relocated to Florida. Her many hobbies included cooking for her family, gardening, sewing, and oil painting. However, her family came first in her life along with cherishing her granddaughters. Visitation Sunday 2-9 pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). Mrs. Krist will lie in state Monday 9:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseville, until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Eugene Katcher. Interment will follow the Mass at Cadillac Memorial Gardens in Clinton Township. Share memories at Mrs. Krist's guest book.
