Julie Anne Ledbetter

Julie was an incredibly talented singer and loved sharing her voice with others. She was a part of the Metropolitan Detroit Chorale for many years and performed twice at the Carnegie Hall. Her family would attend her many classical concerts and looked forward to joining her at their annual cabaret, watching her sing and dance and enjoying the evening together. At any wedding or party, Julie and Gary would be together on the dance floor. Her creativity extended from singing and dancing to crafting and creating her own stationary and cards to send to friends and family. She loved animals, especially big cats, and she would spend her time at home watching animal planet shows about rescuing them.

Julie is the beloved wife of 49 years to Gary Ledbetter. The loving mother of James (Renee) Ledbetter, Janell (Ryan) Palmer, and Katrina Ledbetter. Cherished grandmother of Stella Palmer and Nolen Palmer. Dear sister of Robert (Sue) Fortier and Connie Joe (Terry) Dougherty. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Julie was preceded by both of her parents, Robert & Marguerite Fortier and her beloved cat, Jack.

A visitation for Julie will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, Michigan 48088. An instate will occur Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 11:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM, at the funeral home.
