Joseph Lawrence Cauchi

Joseph was born and raised in Malta, where he met the love of his life Josephine. The two were married in 1950 and immigrated the following year to Canada. A year later, they moved to the Detroit area. Their last home was in Sterling Heights where they resided for 42 years. Joseph worked as a tool and die maker and worked for General Motors for the last 10 years before retiring. He enjoyed building things, tending to his garden, and cheering on his favorite hockey team- the Detroit Red Wings. Most of all, Joseph loved spending time with his family. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally.

Joseph was the beloved husband of the late Josephine. Loving father of Mary (Robert) Klein, Dennis, the late Ronald (Marie), and Michael (Patricia). Cherished grandfather of Michael Cauchi, Kelly (Mark) Breaugh, Marc Cauchi, Jenny (Patrick) Byrne, Jason (Brittany) Cauchi, Krista (Kyle) Hubbs, Julie (Paul) Sandrock, and Elizabeth (David) Wetzel. Adored great-grandfather of 9. Dear brother of Fr. Mark Cauchi. He was preceded in death by 3 of his siblings.

Joseph will lie In State on Tuesday, November 8th from 9:00am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 9:30am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Rd, Warren, MI. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
