John Edward Kowalski

John was born on December 26, 1976, in Detroit, Michigan. He was engaged to Amber Brown. He was the second son of Ed and Peggy Kowalski.

John will be remembered as a guy with a huge heart and a passion for knowledge; always quick to chime in with the right answer and added facts. He was a die-hard sports fan and an avid Nike shoe collector. John had a passion for music proven by his vinyl collection and concert ticket stubs. He shared this passion with brothers, Don & Denton. He had learned and came to enjoy several home renovation projects that he and Amber accomplished. He was the cool and fun uncle; whether it was golfing, fishing, playing video games or movie marathons. John just loved to be there. His three nephews were his world!

John was preceded in death by his grandparents Donald and Isabel Finlayson, Edward and Susanna Kowalski, and sister-in-law Dawn Kowalski.

John is survived by his fiancé Amber, step-children Kelsey and Alden. His parents Ed and Peggy, brother Don, nephews Mason (Bree), Ty, and Gavin. His best friends/brothers Denton (Jamie) and Francis.

Please join us for a celebration of his life on Thursday, May 18th, 2023 between 3pm - 8pm. A memorial service will be held at 7pm. at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, Michigan. We ask that all well wishers, join with the family, in wearing your favorite sports attire to John’s celebration.
