Adamic, J. Robert "Bob" Mr. Adamic died at home on July 22nd at the age of 87. He was born in Eveleth, MN and was the only son of the late John and Pauline Adamic. He grew up in Detroit after moving there with his parents in the 1930's. Bob graduated from Cass Technical High School, then went on to serve in the U.S. Army during WWII. He attended Michigan State College and earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering - he was a true Spartan! He retired from General Motors after many years of faithful service. Bob was an active member of the Slovene National Benefit Society and had many interests including travel, golf, bowling, music, and dancing the polka. He embraced technology and was always willing to learn new things. Mr. Adamic was the beloved husband of the late Patricia, loving father of Katherine, Janice (Lothar) Schroeder, John, and Pamela, and "Pops" to Kathleen Emerson, Sharon Wysocky, and Marc (Allison) Emerson. He proudly enjoyed his grandchildren Kristin, Jeffrey, and Paul Schroeder, Brian Wysocky, and Skylar and Jett Emerson. He is also survived by many dear family members and friends.Visitation for Mr. Adamic will be on Friday 6-9pm and Saturday 11-2pm with a 2pm Eulogy Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home.
