Janice Laureen Rogers

Janice Laureen Rogers, age 51, died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. She was born March 2, 1963 in Detroit, daughter of the late Raymond Garret and the late Janice Ann (nee: Conner) Rogers.Janice worked for many years as a medical assistant, tenderly caring for all those with whom she came in contact. She would love and nurture her own family the same way, tending to all of their needs. Janice was a mother figure to her family members. She loved her family with all her heart and cherished the relationships that she cultivated with her siblings, nieces, and nephews. When one of the family brought someone new over to meet her, she would welcome the new family member with open arms. Janice had a great sense of humor,...unless you were picking on her, then she became a bit more sensitive. Janice was all about having fun...vacations were always cherished, especially if they included some time to just lay in the sun and relax (a favorite pastime for her). Janice was her happiest around the holidays, especially at these times of the year in which she could display her talents in the kitchen. Her baking and cooking skills often produced treats that would melt in your mouth. Janice also loved to play cards, enjoyed listening to her favorite music, and derived great enjoyment in watching movies. Her family will remember her as a generous, patient and forgiving person whom never held a grudge of any kind.Janice is survived by her sisters, Shelley Rogers, Jennifer McPherson-Rogers, and brother, Lyle (Mary) Rogers. She was the loving companion of Joseph Laczek for 18 years. Cherished Aunt of Heather (Gina Asaro) Rogers, Raymond (Jennifer Gruninger) Rogers, Alyssa McPherson, Matthew Rogers, Juliana Evans, Joseph Evans and Lyle A. Rogers. Great aunt of Justin, Ryan, Seth, Alaina and Jax. Janice is also survived by her two feline friends, Bella & Max, whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Janice, a brother, Raymond, and a sister, Juliana. Visitation for Janice will be held Tuesday, January 27th from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren.
