James Milton Pasque, age 76 of Warren, died Friday, February 23, 2018 at St. John Hospital, Oakland Center in Madison Heights. He was born September 5, 1941 in Detroit, son of the late Daniel and the late Camilla (nee: Van Damme) Pasque. As Co-Owner of the Paslin Company, one of Warren's premiere manufacturing facilities, the company was a leading innovator in the concept, design, construction and deployment of manufacturing, assembly and automation systems, providing unique solutions to the global automotive industry. James and his team were an integral cog in the wheel of progress and did much to make their own impact as suppliers to the industry. And not merely an owner, James was also distinguished in being quite the machinist himself. Knowing the business is all part of succeeding in business, and James knew that concept extremely well. As for some of his favorite pastimes and hobbies away from work, James was quite close with his brothers, all of whom enjoyed a good card game,…especially the ol' favorite, Gin Rummy. Nothing says fun like getting a bunch of family and friends around a card table, slingin' some cards and cash around, and sharing in a little colorful table bantor in the process. It always made for a great time and lasting memories, times that James looked forward to with a passion. (Oh…and…James just loved taking Danny's money, too!) Along the lines of gaming, there just has to be a mention of James' love for the game of chess, something else he shared with his brothers. Known as the game of intellectuals, James found the stimulation both engaging and invigorating,…and winning wasn't so shabby either. On many occasions, a sunny day off meant you just might find James swingin' the clubs at one of the local golf courses,…in search of that elusive Hole-in-One. Along with the element of sports attached to the game, James also enjoyed the relaxing nature it provided and the opportunity of sharing the time with family and friends on their leisurely stroll along the course. Another sporting mention would have to entail the support he rendered for the Inner-City Basketball Team, the "Savannah's." A friendly sponsor and voice of encouragement for this girls' troupe of basketball players, James was always the happy mentor and comic relief for the team.Yet for as much as he loved gaming and sports, right up there towards the top of his passions was his love of animals,…especially for his cat, "Sammy the Savannah,"…and his precious Granddogs; Tobie, Coco Chanel, Olive and Lulu. There's just something unique and special that our furry, four-legged friends quicken to our hearts, and James was quite the proud and devoted "Fur Daddy & Grandpa" to all of his feline and canine kids over the years.Known as one to be extremely generous, James always gave without expecting anything in return,…and did so with an unselfish heart. He was a fun-loving kinda guy, with a great sense of humor, who was always looking to make another life brighter and happier. Sharing laughter and evoking laughter were two important goals for each day, and James was renowned for being a goal-setter.A devoted and doting father and brother, James loved his children without measure, and family was the main thread that held life together for him. Spending time in their company, making warm & wonderful memories together, and living out the mantra to "Live, Laugh & Love" is the blessing James was given in each of them to share,…and that blessing went two ways as well. Yet whether you were the family he was given or the family he chose, he always did his best to make sure you knew how special you were in his life. James touched a multitude of hearts and souls as he journeyed this path, and now he goes on ahead to help prepare the way for the rest of us. You will be missed, Brother. Go Rest High, in peace.James was the loving father of James Steele, Tammy Lynn, and Kenneth Daniel (JoAnne) Pasque. Dearest brother of Daniel (Diana) Pasque, Victor (Evelyn) Pasque, Cathy (the late Dana) Markwood, Charles (Karen) Pasque, Frieda (the late Gary) Nilson, Douglas (Roxanne) Pasque, and the late Robert Pasque.Visitation for James will be held Wednesday, February 28th from 3-9 pm at the D.S.
