Saying goodbye to someone we love is heartbreaking. May we find comfort in all the special memories shared with Gail.

Gail- How do I pick one memory out 37 years?! I have so many, from our days in Doniphan, the snake scare, the brush debacle, Pax, the cactus incident, fall festivals, the atm comment, antiquing, all my fun trips to Florida, the beach, Disney world, our Sunday night phone calls, your life lessons, your advice, the many many laughs, I could go on forever, BUT, The one that keeps playing in my head over and over is when some lady called you my grandma and I made sure to correct her. “She is not my grandma, she is my friend!”  You were the BEST friend God could ever give me.  I love you so much! Thank you so much to your amazing family and friends that took such good care of you, especially over this past year. We have an angel in heaven! I love you so much friend! 

Just in the last few years have Gail and I had the chance to reconnect after many long years.  Gail's grandmother in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula was my grandmother's sister.  When we were being raised in lower Michigan, my siblings and I met Gail when her mother came to our house to visit with my mother and get her hair done in our basement beauty shop.  Gail was a hoot and we all enjoyed spending time with her!
Many, many years later Gail and I realized we were both living in Florida and made a couple visits happen.  It was so very nice to see and catch up with her again.  Beautiful person.  Still loved her!
When her brother Jimm and his wife were visiting her in Brooksville a couple years ago, I was fortunate to be invited to join them for a luncheon.
Still love her!  She will be missed and will remain in my heart and prayers.

Gail was the best friend a soul could have! We called her “Momma Gail” at Bethel and to the end. She gave wise direction, faithful prayers, compassion, empathy, knowledge and love! I was so blessed to call her “Friend”.  Erma Shephard Sell.

Aunt Gail was amazing and fun.  I have memories throughout my life with her, from swimming in the lake by her house in Nebraska, to taking joyrides on the golf cart in Florida.
She always looked for ways to help - I lost count of the projects she helped with when she came to visit us.  In our first house, the kitchen cabinets looked really bad, and she helped us paint them white to brighten things up.
She really understood kids, and shared thoughts and insights about my own kids that I appreciated.
She is greatly missed, but I'm so thankful that she's home with Jesus!

I met Gail @ Brown City Camp when we were both teenagers. 
 While at  Bethel College, she was an inspiration, a mentor & so much fun to be with. We were out of contact for a number of years as we both moved about the US. After I retired we kept in touch & I visited her a few times in FL. Gail was always supportive, a kind & compassionate friend.


Miss Thompson was my elementary school principal and a close family friend years afterward. Will miss her visits to my mom’s. Also hard to forget is when she sat in a bathtub full of oatmeal because the elementary classes met their book it reading goal. Will always have good memories of her.
