Frank was born in Windber, Pennsylvania and moved with his family at five years old to Detroit. There are friends who have known Frank for 85 years. Frank attended Cass Tech High School and is a Korean War veteran, serving in the US Army from 1952-54. After graduating from the Detroit Police academy, Frank’s career included street patrol, working in the crime lab and specialized service as a member of the bomb disposal unit. Frank, known as “Poppa” to most of his family, married the love of his life, Judy, in 1959. They recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. He loved working on cars and disproving the myth of something being broken beyond repair. Helping others whenever needed helped build a group of neighborhood friends. Poppa was very happy to spend his time with his wife, family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved them and they loved him back in multiples. Poppa set the example for his family to follow – a life well lived.
Frank was the beloved husband of Judith. Loving father of Frank (Gina), Donna (Mark) Gaulin-Barrett, Diane (Aaron) Miller, and Michael (Rick) Yoskovich. Cherished grandfather of Frank, Eric, Danielle, Johnathan, Shanin, Leisa, Diana, Joseph, Jacqueline, Sandra, Angela, James, and Valeria. Adored great-grandfather of Ella, Hudson, Henley, Daniel, and Brooklynn.
Visitation for Frank will be held Friday, December 9th from 3:00pm-8:30pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 10th at 11:00am at the Funeral Home. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
