Frances was born and raised in Charleston, Missouri and eventually moved to the metro Detroit area where she raised her family. Frances took on the not so easy roll of being a single mother of three wonderful children whom she devoted her life. In the early days, Frances worked as a nursing aid in the hospital during World War II. She was honored in the newspaper for her efforts during the war as she assisted rolling bandages for the soldiers oversees. In her later years, Frances worked as a bank Manager until her retirement. Frances loved to give back to the community, so even after retirement she offered her services to help at the Macomb County College bookstore. In her leisure time, Frances loved to golf, plant geraniums, and was an avid Rummikub player.
Frances lived for her family and friends, but most of all she lived for Christ. She was devoted to the Woods Church in Warren and remained one of their longest living members. Frances also dedicated her time to pray with the homeless at the church’s shelter off Gratiot. Frances will forever be remembered for her contagious smile, kind spirit, giving nature, and dedication to Christ. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally by her loving family and friends. May she now go to live in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.
Frances was the loving mother of the late Danny W. (the late Patricia) Fisher, Bonnie Fisher, and Michael (Patricia) Fisher. Adored grandmother of Andy Welches, Kristina (Alberto) Todaro, Stefanie (Brian) Brumbaugh, Carolyn (Kevin) Hatzenbuhler, Amy (Jim) Scarlett, Michael (Scott) Fisher and great-grandmother of many loving great grandchildren.
