Eugenia Bartnik, age 95 of Clinton Township, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 following a brief hospital stay at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. She was born November 26, 1919 in Pierce City, Missouri, daughter of the late John and the late Helen (nee: Palkowski) Schroetter.Eugenia was a huge nature lover, and this was never more evident than in the beauty of her gardens. She possessed a unique and remarkable green thumb and used her natural abilities in nurturing the growth of both her flowers and vegetables. With great renown, it was her roses that always managed to steal the show. Each faction of her gardens were a reflection of the beauty within, yet nothing could match the splendor of her rose display. Eugenia spent countless hours throughout her life tending to her gardens,...and" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">...and" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">...and much of it helped to provide the food that graced many of the meals she prepared. There's nothing quite like eating vegetables from ones own garden, and Eugenia certainly knew that to be true.Another passion Eugenia possessed was found through her appreciation and delight in watching various Game Shows on television. With all its excitement, prizes, and challenges, she could easily get lost in all the fun and entertainment these shows provided,...and the challenges were always easier from the armchair at home. As for some fun outside of the house, Eugenia was known for her love of eating out, especially when it included her favorite,...Ice Cream! She looooooved her ice cream. A meal out meant the food was coming to you,...there were no dishes to wash,...and there was always dessert. She loved her desserts and always did her best to satisfy the "sweet tooth" God gave her,...even if she didn't finish her meal. (We get to make those decisions as adults, don't we?) Speaking of God, telling a story of Eugenia just naturally has to include her immense love for her Lord, and the church into which she poured so much of her heart and care. She had a faith that was strong and the heart of a servant that touched a multitude of lives in her journey through life. Yet of all the love she shared, her greatest portion was that reserved for her precious family. Each time in their presence provided moments that she treasured and held closely to her heart and mind always. She leaves behind a legacy of love & care that will be embraced with deep affection upon every reflection shared. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally.Eugenia was the beloved wife of the late Henry. Loving mother of JoAnn (Donald) Huebner and Rose Ann (William Monks) Bartnik. Devoted sister to Rosemary Ogonowski, the late Sophie Andrzejewski, the late Stella Slowikowski, and the late Theodore "Ted" Schroetter. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation for Eugenia will be held Monday, November 9th from 3-9 pm, with a 7pm Rosary Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd.) in Warren. She will lie in state on Tuesday from 10:30 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Road in Clinton Township, Michigan. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church (see address above), or to the Michigan Humane Society, Developmental Dept., 30300 Telegraph Road, Suite 220, Bingham Farms, MI 48025..
