Ernest Archie Wisbiski, age 89, died Monday, July 24, 2017 at his home in Warren, Michigan surrounded by his loving family. Ernest was born in Parisville, Michigan, son of the late Peter Wisbiski and the late Agnes (nee: Shuager) Wisbiski.Ernest was raised in the "Michigan Thumb" farming communities of Ubly and Bad Axe and eventually moved to the Detroit area in search of higher pay within the burgeoning automotive industry. Ernest first worked for Midland Steel, and later for the Budd Wheel Corporation. Eventually, Ernest found steady employment at Chrysler Motors working at their Lynch Road Assembly Plant, and later at the Warren Stamping Plant. Ernest would work and retire from Chrysler Motors after more than 30 years of faithful service.When Ernest was not working he could be found at home working on his cars or tending to his home. He was truly a traditional family man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life with a deep devotion to his wife and children, and his Catholic faith. Ernest was committed to his parish in Warren, St. Sylvester Catholic Church, right up until the church's ultimate merger. Later, he and his wife joined St. Martin dePorres Catholic Church. Ernest was also a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Solanus Casey Council.Family and faith were paramount in Ernest's life. When he did have time to get away, he and his wife traveled and took the occasional ocean cruise. Ernest will be remembered as a hardworking family man steeped in his Catholic faith.Mr. Wisbiski was the beloved husband of Joan (nee: Kowalewski), and dear father of Rose (Randy) Golec, James (Lori) Wisbiski, Dan (Amy) Wisbiski, David Wisbiski, and John (Connie) Wisbiski. He was the loving grandfather of Joe, Jason, Hunter, Jaclyn, Sara, Sabrina, Anton, James, Aaron, Lindsay, Cassidy, and great-grandfather of Aurora, and Jameson. Ernest was the brother of Jerry Wisbiski, Leonard (Chris) Wisbiski, David Wisbiski, and the late Stanley, Norman, and Beatrice. Visitation for Mr. Wisbiski will be held Thursday, July 27th from 3-9 pm, with a 7:00 pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. Mr. Wisbiski will lie in state on Friday from 9:00 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 9:30am at St. Martin dePorres Catholic Church in Warren.Memorial donations are appreciated to the Fr.
