Edward "Tom" Pavlock, age 88, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025. Beloved husband of Della Pavlock for 67 wonderful years. Loving father of Robert A. (Margaret) Pavlock, Michael (Denise) Pavlock, and Sandra Jewell. Proud grandfather of Scott (Lyndsey) Pavlock, Nicole Pavlock, and Lauren Jewell. Dear brother of Robert (Linda) Pavlock and Martin Pavlock. He leaves behind many other family members and friends. Born in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Edward T. Pavlock and the late Dorothy Pavlock (née Martens) on January 25, 1937, Tom lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and hard work. A master picture framer, Tom founded The Framing Gallery of Grosse Pointe in 1971 and established The Framing Gallery North in 1986. Mr. Pavlock's expertise and commitment to the profession led him to be elected as president of the national Professional Picture Framers Association, a testament to his leadership and contributions to the industry.
Through its 54 years, The Framing Gallery became more than a business—it became a cornerstone of artistry and meticulous craftsmanship within the community. His work has preserved countless memories and masterpieces, creating frames that didn’t just encase artwork but honored the stories within them. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of excellence and dedication to his craft.
Tom found great joy in spending time with his family and traveling, especially to Hawaii, Las Vegas, and to his favorite destination, northern Michigan.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, Instate 9:30am, Mass 10:00am at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Rd, Clinton Twp, MI 48038.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
