Born in Detroit to the late Fay and Mary Jane Stroud, Donald and his wife Josefina, his “dulce corazon,” were married on March 2nd, 1974. He served honorably in the United States Army receiving the National Defense Service Medal and Sharpshooter Badger in his time of service, and went on to work in Tool and Die at Chrysler for 30 years. Donald cherished any time he got to spend with his family and dogs. A love for laughing and having a good time, friends knew that where Donald was good times followed no matter what they were doing. Donald was a natural outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time. A beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Donald will be dearly missed by all who survive him.
Beloved husband of Josefina Stroud (nee Castaneda) for 50 years. Loving dad of Kimberly Stroud and Charles Stroud. Dear brother of Gerald Stroud and the late Karen Owczarek. Also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
Visitation Friday, March 15th from 2pm until 8pm and Saturday, March 16th from 2pm to 6pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road in Warren. There will be a sharing of memories Saturday, March 16th at 5pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home in Warren. Burial to take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
