Dolores Frances Nawrocki, age 95 of Macomb Township, died Friday, April 19, 2019 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. She was born March 6, 1924 in Detroit, daughter of the late John and the late Theresa (nee: Golochowicz) Stoinski. The consummate homemaker and Mom, Dolores gave her utmost in making sure the house was in order and her family was well cared for. Like many women of her era, she was a great cook and tended to many of the delicious meals her family recalls. Together with the skills passed down to her and her own brand of preparation talents, Dolores worked some incredible magic in the kitchen and created some culinary delights for all to enjoy. If you left her table hungry, you just weren't trying. When the work was done and the house was in order, you would often find Dolores enjoying one of her favorite pastimes,…the art of needlepoint. A delicate and creative use of her hands, she fabricated many beautiful pieces over the years. Along with her needlepoint, Dolores appreciated many styles of artistic creativity and was an avid supporter of arts & crafts in all its variations. Another of her favorite things to do was to visit the local Bingo Halls and vie for the win,…whichever direction it came. She loved the activity as it afforded her the opportunity of joining with her friends in a little competition and camaraderie. Dolores was also known for her love of solving crossword puzzles and sharing with the family in the game of "Farkle." The crosswords helped to keep her mind sharp, and Farkle helped create some fun and wonderful memories of gaming together. Dolores will also be remembered for her devout faith and reverence for God. She was a firm believer in the power of prayer, and didn't miss a day in talking to her Lord through prayer. Dolores' faith and prayerful countenance helped to make her the kindhearted, selfless and loving person she was to all who knew her. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Dolores adored her family immeasurably and leaves a legacy of love for them to embrace with each reflection shared. Her daughter and grandchildren were her world, and she cherished each moment they were given to spend together, She will be missed immensely and loved eternally. Beloved wife of the late Theodore for over 63 years, she was also the dear mother of Cheryl (Joseph) Rivera, and loving grandmother of Kristen, Robert Jr., and Bradley Laski.
