Here's Denise taking care of our brand new baby son in November of 2019.  What a comfort she brought to our family and Grandpa Fiegel the first few days of his new life. 

I am so sorry to hear about Denise's passing.  I worked with her for many years.  She was the kindest, most helpful person to work with.  My prayers are with your family as you adjust to your life without her.

My dear, sweet, feisty, funny, generous, loving Denise… oh how I’m going to miss you! You, Judy & I have known each other our entire lives! (Minus the five years before we met in kindergarten!) Deepest sympathy  to my dear cousin.  I will miss our phone conversation and all the good times we had spent together.  Going to Mt. Oliver Cemetery to clean up our grandparents graves, while the kids played soccer.  I don’t think my kids will ever forget that.  I will cherish the many holidays we shares together. I once read, "It is friends along the way that help us to appreciate the journey". I was fortunate to have Denise as part of my journey since we met in kindergarten. Our friendship, continued through high school and on to Wayne State. (I remember that we learned to navigate campus from her sister). Most recently, we have been reconnecting, along with several other school friends, to share stories of our lives and family. When I think of Denise, her smile, twinkling eyes, and expressive hands immediately come to mind. But most of all, I think of her as a lovely, sweet and caring person. I will miss her very much. Thank you, my friend, for being part of my journey.


When I met Denise’s  daughter Kate, in college, I instantly knew she would be one of those friends I would love for life.  Her generosity, kindness and fierce sense-of 
-self made her irresistible as a friend and also provided a rare example of the kind of young woman I wanted to be-and be around. 

When Kate took me to visit her family in Warren and I met Denise, it was immediately clear where that kindness and inspiring sense-of-self came from. Denise was warm, hilarious, generous and also, very much her own woman.  I always loved visiting her (and Kate’s whole family, really. )
I’m somewhat at a loss as to how
to ease the pain everyone is feeling right now.  But I just wanted to say am so grateful for my friend Kate and also to have gotten to know her mom, Denise. I know her memory will continue to inspire people in the same way her life most certainly did. 

We are missing Denise so much. She was the best Mom -in-law we could ever have hoped for for Mark.  We enjoyed going for tea with her in Chicago,eating dinner at The Italian Village and having Thanksgiving dinner at our house too.  What a nice family we met at Kate’s shower and Mark and Kates wedding. We send our love to all Kate and Tom’s family and friends too. Nancy and Bill. ❤️❤️🙏

Oh Denise my dear dear friend since elementary school!  I have such vivid memories of us assigned to lunch duty to watch the first graders at Robinson ELementary.  The times we have had meeting through the years, sharing memories.  You lived only one block away from me on Glenfield...me on Wilfred...the old neighborhood.  I was hoping to meet you for lunch this year when I drove over to the east side.  Now I am too late..... you shall live on forever as long as I have a memory. I’m really stocked at Denise’s passing.  She and I met in kindergarten!  She was such a sweet lady and so happy to be a grandmother.  We will miss her at our “Denby luncheon”.  RIP dear friend

Katie and Tom…your mom was the kindest and most selfless person I have ever known.  I’m sure your dad was there welcoming her with open arms.  She will be missed by many. You and the rest of her family have my sincere condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you.  


I worked with Denise for years at ValueOptions! I work on the Cinical side and she was on the Member Services side and she was my go to gal for any question I couldn't answer myself on my side of the job. She would help me figure out the answers no matter what! To me, she was the HEART of ValueOptions! Now it's her time to rest and enjoy life in Heaven!  You'll truly be miss and always loved, Denise! 🙏😇💐❤️

I had the pleasure of working with Denise for many years! She was a very kind and easy going lady! More than anything else she was a very hard worker, on the job as well as at home because we often discussed our home projects.  She can now await her future, John 5:28 & 29 ❤️❤️❤️



Bless your hearts for these wonderful photos. They stirred many happy memories of Giacchina family times  - years ago and into the present. Denise was so sweet - a wonderful, warm, and giving person. She never let anyone down and she was a great team member at work.  She will be missed by many. Denise was such a kind and gentle person the best I have ever known.  Always a smile on her face, she took time to talk and listen no matter where we were. I am so sorry to hear of her passing, it was  way too early for her to leave.  

Aunt Denise, you were an outstanding human being and to say you will be greatly missed would be an understatement. Thank you for being so loving, caring, thoughtful, and kind. We love you so much and take comfort in knowing that your beautiful spirit is safe, happy, and at peace with Nonna, aunt Joanne, uncle George, and other loved ones.  Love, Natalie and Alessandro
