Charlene G. McKibben

Charlene was known for her delicious cooking, especially her beef and noodles and pecan pie. Her family all looked forward to a home cooked holiday meal. She was a talented seamstress who loved making clothes for her family. She made clothes for her children and many costumes for her grandchildren. As a perfectionist, Charlene would say, “Everything has a place and everything in its place.” She was a member of Woodside Bible church for many years. She had a caring heart and enjoyed volunteering with her husband, Veron, for the Red Cross Blanket Committee, collecting blankets for the homeless.

Charlene was married to her beloved husband, Veron McKibben, for 63 years. She was the loving mother of Carla (Dominic) Montoya, Alana McKibben, and Gina (David) Meagher. The cherished grandmother of Samantha Montoya, Andrew Meagher, Matthew (Rowan) Meagher, Stephen Meagher, and Kimberly Meagher. Dear sister of Howard Plumley. She was preceded in death by her sisters Letha Townsley, Freda Jenkins, Reva Plumley, Olabell Bernard, Audrey Baker, Mary McKinney, and brothers Harold, Eulis, James, Boomer, and Beecher Plumley.

A visitation for Charlene will be held Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, Michigan 48088. An instate will occur Monday, September 12, 2022 from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at 10:00 AM. Pastor Dan Stewart, of Woodside Bible Church, will be officiating. A luncheon at the funeral home will follow the service.
