Anthony was born January 6, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan. With thanks and praise from a grateful nation, we honor Anthony for his service to our country as a soldier in the U.S. Army. In the years following his military service, he was a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.Anthony was employed with the automotive giant, the General Motors Corporation, where he worked as a Wood Model Maker. Following many years of dedicated and loyal service, he accepted his well-deserved retirement and truly enjoyed his golden years. When he wasn't working, Anthony enjoyed a number of favorite pastimes to fill his life with wonderful memories. When it involved the outdoors, quite often you'd find Anthony swingin' the clubs on one of his favorite golf courses and just enjoying the fun with friends and fellow golf mates,...always in search of that coveted "Hole-in-One." Another of his favorite pastimes included playing cards; the name of the game for Anthony was Euchre. It was always entertaining to sit around the table with family or friends,...slingin' the cards while sharing drinks & conversation,...and beating the competition. Woo-Hoo! When Anthony was looking for a bit of musical relaxation, not much could match the soothing tunes of the iconic, Neil Diamond. Yet of all the pastimes and pleasures that brought him the deepest joy, it was the times he spent with family and friends,...no matter what they were doing,...that touched his heart & soul the most. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will be felt with each reflection shared, especially where it comes to his precious grandchildren who brought him some of his sweetest pleasures. Speaking of sweet pleasures,...to those who truly knew Anthony, they'll forever remember his love of Carrot Cake and the "tummy tingling" enjoyment experienced with each slice.A loving husband, father and grandfather, Anthony was a caring man who held his loved ones in the highest regard. The moments they shared were the memorable and heartfelt, and his unique and genuine way of connecting with each of them will live on to be embraced another day. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally.Mr. Machuta was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Emilie "Ejaye". He was the loving father of David (Lori) Machuta, Trish (Roger) Urbain, Kathy (Larry) Kokesh, Michael (Wendy) Machuta and Daniel (Wendy) Machuta.
