

Born in Detroit and raised in Hamtramck, Tony's journey began with humble roots, but his spirit soared with the bravery of a young patriot. Enlisting in the Marines at the age of only 16, he proudly served his country during the Korean War, embodying the values of honor, loyalty, and selflessness.
Tony's life was a testament to resilience and the pursuit of excellence. A true Renaissance man, he embraced every opportunity to learn and grow, tirelessly striving to provide the best for his beloved family. From humble beginnings to entrepreneurial success, Tony's journey saw him take on various roles before establishing his own company, Detroit Fence. His innate gift for connecting with people, coupled with his unmatched work ethic, propelled him to success, earning him a reputation as a stellar salesman and a cherished friend to many.
A social butterfly with a contagious sense of humor, Tony's charisma knew no bounds. His ability to effortlessly engage with others endeared him to all who crossed his path, leaving a lasting impression that endured throughout the years. His loyal customers would often inquire about him long after his retirement, a testament to the indelible mark he left on their lives.
Throughout his remarkable life, Tony found his greatest joy in the love he shared with his devoted wife, Helen Jo, with whom he celebrated 64 years of marriage. A pillar of strength and unwavering support, he was the epitome of an exceptional husband and a devoted family man, always willing to go above and beyond for his loved ones.
Beyond his professional achievements and personal relationships, Tony was deeply committed to serving his community. As a leader in the Boy Scouts and a proud member of the Marine Corps League of Macomb County, he dedicated himself to uplifting and guiding others, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
A lifelong Detroit Tigers Baseball fan, Tony's passion for the game was surpassed only by his love for his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Tony was the beloved husband of Helen Jo. Loving father of Thomas, James, Lisa Marie Savage, and Michelle (Steve) Olson. Adored grandfather of Jade and Danielle. Dear brother of the late Eugene, the late Raymond, and Bernice McMarlin.
A Memorial for Tony will be held on Saturday, May 18th with an In State from 10:30am until the time of his Memorial Mass at 11:00am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Rd, Warren, MI 48093.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marine Corps League of Macomb County.
