Born in Detroit to the late Eugene and Margaret Calabrese, Anthony was a devoted family man and loved making them laugh more than anything. A musician for 30 years in local cover bands, Anthony was a talented base player. Anthony served proudly as an officer in the Elks Club and worked hard his whole life. When he was at home, Anthony was a jokester. Gifted with a great natural sense of humor, Anthony brought laughter to every event. As the kids were growing up, Anthony was a leader in their various clubs like Cub Scouts or cheering them on on the sidelines at any sporting event. He had a great appreciation for good food. Some of the best quality time he and his wife Christine had was trying out different restaurants and steak houses in the area. On any given day, Anthony’s Jaguar would be parked in the front driveway and he could tell you about his favorite luxury cars for hours. He had a big heart for his family, a larger than life personality, and put others before himself without a second thought. Anthony was the first to help someone in need before they even had to think or ask for help themselves. Of the ways Anthony gave to his community in his life, his family remembers most the way he shared his love for his family, his friends, and his love of music. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Anthony will be missed dearly.
