Annette Helen Stolarski, age 83 of Warren, died Friday, September 17, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, at Henry Ford Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. She was born December 29, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late William and the late Anna (nee: Kovach) Kotsch.
Devout in their Catholic faith, the Kotsch family were members of SS. Cyril & Methodius Slovak Catholic Church in Detroit. SS. Cyril is also where Annette received her education, and proudly graduated after 12 years of studies. After graduation, Annette immediately went to work for Dun & Bradstreet as a clerk to help support her widowed mother Anna.
At the age of 22, Annette met Marion (Mike) and they were later joined as husband and wife in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on July 14, 1962. They shared 54 years of marriage together, enjoying the pleasures of 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
When her first child was born, Annette left her career to be a devoted stay at home mom. Annette deeply enjoyed her life as a homemaker and mother, and was a ready volunteer at St. Clement where her children attended both elementary and high school.
When her children became adults, Annette resumed her career by working in the Accounting Department of F&M Distributors. Upon the arrival of her first grandchild, she chose an early retirement. While Annette relished her role as a mother, becoming a grandmother was even more exciting. She found herself blessed with four grandchildren.
Annette, often joined by Mike, attended countless recitals, lessons, competitions, and plays, being deeply involved in her grandchildren’s every day lives. Whether it was lunch or dinner at the local restaurant/mall; playing board games; going to movies or parks or the zoo; or building puzzles, Annette cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and family.
Annette also enjoyed family trips. The trips were not exotic or spectacular, but were simply about taking in what the local attractions had to offer, or vacationing in Northern Michigan. As the grandchildren got older, her trips began to include attending many golf tournaments to show her support for them as they competed.
She was a devout member of St. Clement Catholic Church in Center Line for over 55 years. Annette took her Catholic faith and devotion to God very seriously. The deepness of her faith was apparent to her family, friends, and community members.
A loving and selfless wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, Annette's example of servanthood is sure to remain a beacon of inspiration for all whose lives she touched, and they are countless. For her dear family, there will always be the memory of how Annette put God and family first above all, including herself.
Finally, Annette's perseverance provided a shining example for all. Her physical struggles only proved to strengthen her faith in God as she lived her life around the moment she would return to her Creator on September 17th. She has now gained her eternal reward, free of pain and suffering, in God's arms, surrounded by the loved ones who have gone on before her.
Annette was the beloved wife of the late Marion (Mike), and the cherished mother of Michael Stolarski and Joanne (Michael) O'Rourke. She was the loving grandmother of Aidan, Megan (Michael) Osterman, Brendan, and Colin. Dear sister of the late Alfred, late Elizabeth Verbal, and late Joseph. Annette is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Annette will be held Friday, September 24th from 5-9 pm, with a 6pm Scripture Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren.
She will lie in state on Saturday from 9:30 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Catholic Church, St. Clement Site in Center Line, Michigan.
