

Alice Duszczyk, age 71, of Warren, died December 26, 2008 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Alice was born on May 10, 1937 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Lorne Keillor and the late Irene (nee: Stephenson) Keillor. As a lifelong resident of Hamtramck, Alice worked for the Hamtramck Public School System as a custodian for several years. Aside from work, Alice was very strong in her faith. She was an usher at St. Florian Catholic Church and also at Our Lady of the Lake in Houghton Lake. Alice enjoyed being a member of the Rainbow Seniors at St. Ladislaus Parish. When Alice found free time, she loved to travel and drive, especially to Florida. She was also a very handy person who enjoyed arts and crafts. Most of all, Alice was always known as a very giving person. Mrs. Duszczyk was the beloved wife of the late John. She was the dear mother of Denice (James) Smith, Dennis (Kathy), Lorna (David) Jacks, Ann (Douglas) Drewek, Patricia (John) Magee and the late Camelia "Milcha" Smith. Loving sister of Lorna Nardone, Pat Calcaterra, Edsel Keillor and John Keillor. Alice is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Visitation for Alice will be held on Sunday from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). Alice will lie in state on Monday at 10:00 am until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Florian Catholic Church. Officiating the Funeral Mass will be Fr. Nawrocki. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Please share memories of Alice at her guest book.
