Florentino Tablang Dollente

Mr. Dollente was born October 16, 1912 in Cabaroan, Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur, Philippines to Juan Tablang and Macela Dollente. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged on February 1, 1949. Mr. Dollente farmed in the Wapato area for many years.

Mr. Dollente’s Survivors include two children, son, Dan Dollente of Yakima, and daughter, Diane Dollente-Ong of Wapato; three grandchildren, Lindsey Janey Smith and husband Joe, Laiken Danielle Dollente and Angelica Jayda Ong; brother, Segundo T. Dollente of the Philippines; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Vigil Service will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Merritt Funeral Home in Wapato. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Wapato. Farewell services will follow at Reservation Community Memorial Park, west of Wapato. Merritt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
