Paul PG Andrew Gwynn

Paul Andrew Gwynn, fondly known as "PG" of Clinton, Maryland passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. Age 81 years young, he was born January 3, 1931. He was married to the late Bertha Mary (Russell) Gwynn (known as MaryJo), who preceded him in death May 21, 2001. He and Mary Jo were predeceased by their son Thomas Mark Gwynn. "PG" was the son of the late Thomas S. Gwynn, Sr. and Mary Avis (Middleton) Gwynn. He is survived by his brother, David Gwynn, sister, Christina Evald, children Paula Boundy, Sandra (Mike) Martin, Russell (Dawn) Gwynn, James Gwynn, Bernard (Debbie) Gwynn, Mary Charlotte (Kenneth) Hawko, Alan (Cynthia) Gwynn, Wayne (Judith) Gwynn and Jeffrey (Terri) Gwynn. In addition he will be dearly missed by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, close friends and dear friend Florence Olano.

"PG" was the single graduate of Surrattsville High School, Class of 1949 and attended Duke University. He was a school bus driver while working at the family business and subsequently became manager and eventual owner of Clinton Motor Company, a Ford dealership established by his father. Paul enjoyed his family, friends, farming, hunting, fishing and crabbing from his pleasure boats, and countless hours at his beach house in Calvert County. "PG" treasured friendships in Madison County, Virginia as a member of Aylor Hunt Club. He was known for appreciating a fine cigar, a good "taste", music, and his faith. He was never one to shy away from a day's work and passed the trait to his children.

Family and friends are welcome to a visitation at Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 1:00 - 3:00pm and 6:00 - 8:00pm. A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Prince Frederick, MD on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 12:30pm. Inurnment will be private.
