We bid farewell to Michael D. Murphy a dedicated father and husband, and proud grandpa, born November 20. 1958 and found peace on January 28, 2025.
Mike was born in San Antonio TX, and served in the U.S. Air Force for 26, years. During his 26 year career, Mike was stationed everywhere from Texas, Alaska, Iran, and finally to England, as well as may other duty stations too numerous to list.
As a Civilian contractor, Mike made 2 trips with Raytheon to work in Iraq, he later settled and retired for the second time in 2024, in Waldorf, where he made his home.
Mike enjoyed staying active with his hobbies of grilling, gardening, winning at horseshoes, darts, or card games, volunteering at nearby wine festivals, he especially loved setting up lights on the house at Christmas, and most importantly, spending time with his wife Sue. Together spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Sue, who he married and in 1987, his son Adam and 2 grandchildren, as well as one brother Dennis. He was preceded in death his brother David.
