Marie Fowler was born to Carlton & Olive Small on February 11, 1930 in Washington, D.C. She spent her formative years in Washington, D.C., Benedict, MD & Prince George’s County MD. As a young woman, she worked for the Stone Straw Company in Washington, D.C. She married Robert A. Fowler in 1963. She enjoyed being a school bus driver in Charles County, MD for 15+ years. Marie loved bowling, gardening, sewing, quilt & doll making with many of her items winning blue ribbons at the Charles County Fair. She was proud of her connection with the Linus Project, where she made hundreds of blankets for children in need. If you knew Marie, you knew her love for Yorkshire Terriers. She owned/breed Yorkshire Terriers for 40+ years.
Marie is preceded in death by Carlton Small (father), Olive Monte (mother), Suzanne Fowler (sister), Robert A. Fowler (husband), Carlton “Johnny” Small (brother) & Glenwood Tilly (brother).
Marie is survived by stepson Robert A. Fowler Jr (Mary Jean), brother Floyd Tilly (Shirley), grandchildren Jason Fowler (Christine), Jessica Reyst (Eric), great-grand daughters Emma, Audrey & Eloise Fowler.
The entire family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Gina, Leo & Nico DiPilla (Niece, Nephew & great-nephew) for the loving care they provided Marie over the last 5 years.
