Lisa Colleen (Johnson) Richmond, departed this life suddenly at residence in Washington, D.C. on January 11, 2020. She was born on September 23, 1970, to Harry Johnson and Florence McCain Johnson Colbert in Baltimore, MD.
Lisa was a faithful member of Greater Mount Calvary Holy church. Her unwavering faith in God guided her steps and she lived a life worthy of true Christian values.
Lisa is survived by Father, Harry L. Johnson, Mother, Florence (Johnson) Colbert and Stepfather Larry Colbert.
Lisa’s pride and joy were her children, she leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Timisa Newman (Timothy Newman), Cartese Newman (Timothy Newman) and Keris Richmond (DaWaylan Richmond), two sons James Newman (Timothy Newman) and Donovan Richmond (DaWaylan Richmond). She is also survived by a Brother, Seth Colbert, Brother, Brandon (Britney) Johnson, Sister, April Johnson, Sister, Laurie Satterfield an Aunt Almetta Makana and immediate cousin Robert Makana. She also leaves a close friend, Todd Mckoy.
Lisa also was survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Charlie and Lillie McCain and Grandmother Sally P. Johnson and Darren Johnson.
Lisa attended Elizabeth Seton High School where she matriculated and Dudley Cosmetology School. She also attended Kaplan University and Catholic University.
Lisa was employed with the Prince George’s County Public School System for over 20 years, where she worked as a Paraprofessional Educator. She also worked for Affordable Behavior Consultants as a PRP Consultant. Recently, Lisa had opened a cleaning business, Koi Green Kleen. Supporting commercial businesses.
As a child, Lisa loved singing and playing the piano and flute, she also enjoyed exploring new recipes and cooking.
Lisa had an active childhood, participating in many activities, during her youth sparking her lifelong commitment to assisting families and children.
Lisa loved her profession, her coworkers and the people of the communities with which she met, interacted and dedicated her life. She lived a life of loving service and anyone she encountered was better for it. She possessed a contagious smile and the gift of joy resonated in her by her laughter and joking around and she will never be forgotten.
She was incredibly committed and close to her family and the love that she showered us with will be with us forever. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and everyone who had the opportunity to meet her. May she rest in eternal peace.
