Judy Slaney

Judy Slaney, at the age of 71, died of ovarian cancer June 19 at her home in Odenton, Maryland. Judy, lovingly known by most as "Tutu", was born on July 17, 1940 in Bellevue, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Ralph Eugene Voll, II, and Mary Anna Voll. In 1962 she married Francis "Dell" Slaney and on May 19, 2012, they celebrated their 50th. wedding anniversary with friends and family. Judy was an extraordinary mother, devoted grandmother and consummate friend. Her career included administrative positions at HJ Heinz, the FBI, Department of Commerce, Department of the Navy, and Andrews Air Force Base. Survivors include her husband, Dell; her children, Sue, Cathie and Mark, and her 7 grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00- 8:00 pm at The Huntt Funeral, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pomfret, Maryland on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Judy's name to Lombardi Cancer Center or The American Cancer Society-Relay for Life-Team Star of the Sea.
