Charlotte Fay Melton died November 19, 2011 at her home in Waldorf, Maryland at the age of 67. Charlotte fought a courageous battle with Breast Cancer. Charlotte worked and retired from the Federal Government, Department of Commerce for 39 years. She also had an AA degree in Business Administration, Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from UMUC and was on the Dean's List. Charlotte loved needlepoint and Quilting. She judged for the Maryland State Fair. Chairperson, Needlepoint Division of Charles County Fair. She was an avid quilter, needlepoint and stained glass artist. Born January 2, 1944 in Washington, D.C. to the late Lloyd Alva Parker and Mary Frances Hehle Parker. Preceded in death by parents and grandparents. Survivors include: husband of 47 years Thomas Eugene Melton, sons Thomas (Susan) and Jeffrey (Heather), sister: Sandra Parrott (Pete), brother: Art Parker (Karen). Seven grandchildren: Lindsay, Nicole, Hayley, Gabrielle, Jonathan, Megan and Alyssa. Nephew Ricky and nieces: Denise, Sara (Chris) and Nicole. Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 26, 2011 from 10:00 am. to 12:00 pm. at the First Baptist Church of Waldorf, Waldorf, Maryland. (Bunker Hill Road) where funeral service will be at 12:00 pm. Burial will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Maryland. Pastor Wayne Kempson will officiate.
