Robert J. Wiedmann, age 66, of Walbridge, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born on May 31, 1946 in Toledo to Leroy and Myrtle (Rowe) Wiedmann. Bob was employed as an Instrument Tech for BP Oil before retiring in 2011 after 42 years. He was a gifted painter and enjoyed painting with acrylic and oils and also loved to go fishing with his brother. Bob was a great husband and father, and he adored his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; daughters, Holly (Cole) Tipton and Robin (David) DeVore; step-children, Grant (Alexandra) Lewis, Ashley Lewis, Brad Lewis and Michael Lewis; grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, and Noah Tipton; step-grandson, Hunter Lewis; brother, Richard (Mary) Wiedmann; and former wife, Judith (Wilson) Wiedmann. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon Wiedmann.
Friends will be received on Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 4-9pm and Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 2-9pm in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge (419-666-3121) where services will be conducted at 11am on Monday, June 25, 2012, with Chaplain Chris Roper, officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
