Lucille M Davenport

Lucille M. Davenport, 97, of Walbridge, died January 19, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Lucille was born in Oregon to Edward (Anna Klotz) Gladieux on August 14, 1915 . She married Rex Davenport on August 4, 1945 in Oregon.

Lucille was known to be a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an outstanding baker, known for her fresh baked goods after every meal. Lucille was a devout Catholic who was first a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Oregon and most recently with St. Jerome’s Catholic Church Walbridge.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Rex, daughter, Sharon Snow, and son, Rick Davenport, along with brother, Herb, sister, Grace, and daughter-in-law, Nickey Davenport She is survived by her children, Gary Davenport, Larry (Suzanne) Davenport, and Vicki Davenport, Nine Grandchildren: Kerry, Kraig, Kristine, Kurt, Kyle, Chad, Brandon, Adam, and Erica. 14 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and special friend, Vilia.

Friends will be received in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge (419-666-3121) from 3-8 pm Tuesday, January 22, 2013, followed by the rosary at 8 PM. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 9:45 AM, followed by The Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Jerome’s Catholic Church Walbridge, Ohio, with burial to follow in Lake Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
