Duane C Miley

Duane C. “Pat” Miley, 87, of Walbridge and most recently of Avalon of Perrysburg, died April 8, 2015. Duane was born in Walbridge on August 11, 1927 to Carl (Velma Stoner) Miley. Duane was employed for 45 years as a Clerk and Yard Master for the New York Central and Conrail railroads, retiring in 1988. He married Dorothy C. Reinhart on June 1, 1947 and she preceded him in death. Duane was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving are their children: Nancy S. Lecrone and Steven D. (Philomene) Miley; Grandchildren: Kelly (Ron) Permar, Christopher (Jennifer) Lecrone, Carl (Megan) Miley, Cindy (Don) Chasteen and Amy (Mark) Mahnen; Step-Grandchildren: Andrea, Elizabeth and Michael Garcia; nine great-grandchildren; and sister: Bonnie K. Mohring.

Duane was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy; sisters: Beatrice Barber and Shirley Ducket; and brother: Arthur Miley.

Friends will be received in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge (419-666-3121), from 2-8 PM Sunday, where funeral services will be Monday, April 13, 2015 at 11 AM with Pastor Terry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Avalon of Perrysburg.
