Rodney Hayashi, 69, of Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii, passed away on October19, at Kaiser Moanalua Hospital on Oahu. He was born in Hilo, Hawaiion May 19, 1947. He is survived by his wife Jeannie; sons, Dr. Rick(Frances) Hayashi of Oahu, Kyle Hayashi; daughters Kristine (Rod) Hayashi, Kelly (Akima) Mokiao; Sister Mineko (Donald) Takeuchi of Los AngelesCalifornia and his Brother Gary (Olga) Hayashi of Hilo; Rodney is also survived by his 8 lovely grandchildren Jordynn, Alison, Jaelynn, Ryan, Kanoho, Ka‘onohikaumaka, Katie and Kailani. Rodney retired from Maui Electric Co. in 2010, after 30 years of service. He enjoyed going to Las Vegas, UH Football, fishing, coaching swimming, and also spending timewith his grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Grace Bible Church, 635 S. Hina Ave., Kahului, on November 19, 2016, starting from 4:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m., Service will be at 5:00 p.m.; Casual Attire, HSC or UH t-shirt. The family requests no flowers. Donations can be made to Hawai‘i SwimClub or the charity of your choice.
