Services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints-Maui Lani Stake Center, with family viewing starting at 8:00 am, public viewing at 9:00 am, and services at 11:00 am.
He retired as Major with Maui Community Correctional Center after 25 years of service. He loved coaching and coached high school sports from 1975 until 2007. Among the teams he coached was boys volleyball at Lahainaluna, girls volleyball at Baldwin, and football at both Baldwin and Kamehameha Maui. He also enjoyed watching all types of sports on TV, connecting with friends and family on Facebook and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Larrie Ng Plunkett; his children, Aulani (Leo) Delatori, Kanani (Shane) Adolpho, Maluhia (TJ) Plunkett, U’ilani (Vince) Maae, Konapiliahi (Laura Cook) Plunkett & Kolonahe (Mahinalani) Plunkett; grandchildren Kalei (Chazzen), Kekoa, Analisse, Rafael, Kalena, Bull, Kakela, Kamalani, Kekai, Razjah, Jonah, Keawe, Arihanna, Alyceia, Zayven, SJ, and Kamauliola; great-grandsons Kayzen and Kingzly; and brothers, Samuel (Dee) Plunkett, Charles (Loke) Plunkett and John (Flo) Plunkett.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Kuulei Kukahiko Plunkett, his sister, Lucy-Lei Plunkett, and his mother-in-law, Lulu Enos Ng.
