Roy Charles Stephens was born October 8, 1948 in Brownwood, Texas to Corene and Stacy Stephens. He was descended from two Brown County pioneer families. He passed away in Waco, Texas on April 18, 2021 at age 71.
A viewing will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 on April 23, 2021 in Waco, Texas at Connally/Compton Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 on April 25, 2021 at the Bangs Cemetery in Bangs, Texas.
Roy graduated from Bangs High School and received his Associate Degree from Cisco Junior College. He worked his entire career in Waco, Texas.
Roy grew up in a close-knit family with 14 cousins who spent many hours with their grandparents, John and Mary Stephens. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joe Don Stephens.
He loved fast cars and proudly owned several. He really enjoyed listening to rock and roll music and he liked to study and follow the stock market.
Roy was a kind and gentle man and will be mourned by his many cousins and friends.
