Quincy Elton Butler

Quincy Elton Butler, 73, of Waco passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at his home. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 19 from 6-8pm at Connally-Compton Funeral Directors. A funeral service will be on Friday, July 20 at 10:00am at Connally-Compton.

Quincy was born December 15, 1938 in Mart, Texas to Joshua Quincy and Annie Lee Butler. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1958 and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer in 1981. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran, skilled mechanic, loving father and proud grandpa.

Quincy is preceded in death by his two sisters, Retha and Pauline; son, Dale; and his parents, Joshua Quincy and Annie Lee.

Quincy is survived by his daughter, Jane Butler; sons, Edwin Butler and wife Beth, Erwin Butler and wife Melissa, and Jonathan Butler and wife Carmen; grandsons, Anthony and Nate; granddaughters, Aira, Alyssa, Jaelyn, and Elin.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society of Central Texas.
