Philip Steven Jackson of China Spring, Texas moved into his heavenly mansion on Saturday December 17, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and friends. Visitation with his family will be Tuesday December 20, 2016 from 6-8PM at Connally Compton Funeral Home in Waco, Texas. A celebration of his life will be Wednesday December 21, 2016 at 2PM Connally Compton Funeral Home in Waco, Texas. Pastor Wayne Williams officiating.
Philip was born June 10, 1957 in Hurst, Texas. He grew up in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Marshal, Texas. He was the son of Marilyn Kay Phillips and Tommy Rivers Jackson.
Philip graduated from TSTI and Baylor University.
Philip was employed at Texas Farm Bureau for over 20 years in the IT Department. He enjoyed time in his workshop creating amazing objects from wood.
Philip was a member at First United Methodist Church of Waco.
He was proceeded in death by his daughter, Summer Jackson, and his parents, Marilyn and Tommy Jackson.
Philip is survived by his wife, Cathy Bigham Jackson; daughters, Tillie Jackson and boyfriend Logan Frederick, Tiffany Kitch and boyfriend Jose Acostavalle; son, John Kitch and wife Sarah Beth; sister, Susan McTighe and wife Georgie McTighe, and numerous nieces and nephews. His first grandchild to be born in February, sweet Baby Kitch. Many people who were very special to Philip include: Mariana Palacios, Freida Jackson, John and Martha Bigham, Joe and Betty Carter, Dominique Gammage and Ava Allen. Pall bearers are: Logan Frederick, Richard Lunder, Larry Boone, Steven Schroeder, Michael Cornwall, and Larry Raborn.
