Pauline was born in Marlin TX, June 30, 1945 to Aristeo and Pauline Cuevas. She was raised by her grandmother Paula Arguello Rosas. Pauline attended Marlin High School. Shortly there after she took business classes at Durham Business School in Waco.
On March 14, 1970, Pauline married the absolute love of her life, Alfonso Ramirez. After almost 10 beautiful years of marriage, they welcomed their daughter, Kimberly Elaine, on January 4, 1980.
Pauline enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. She was the host to many family gathering and holiday events. She was best known for her amazing tortillas and her arroz con pollo. She loved to shop with her daughter and travel with her husband. As a family, they took many vacations, where Pauline collected Christmas ornaments from every place they visited. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and would decorate her house as if it should have been on the cover of a magazine.
Pauline worked at Legal Aide of Central Texas before she made the move to her life long career at Namen, Howell, Smith and Lee. There she made a name for herself as being one of the fastest word processors. She made lifelong amazing friends, that she missed dearly when she retired in 2010. After retirement, Pauline enjoyed taking day trips, shopping for flowers and plants or talking about remodeling her home.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Alfonso “Al” Ramirez, her parents Aristeo and Paula Cuevas. Her grandmother Paula Rosa’s. Her bother Edward “Lalo” Cuevas and her in laws Justo and Julia Ramirez. Brother in law Marcus Ramirez and sister in law Paula Griñie. Sister in law Yolanda Cuevas. And special cousins Minnie Sabido and Velia Urive.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Kimberly Ramirez and husband, Anson Lewis of Waco. “Adoptive” son, Michael Wayne Rosas, of Hewitt. Her bothers, Israel Cuevas and wife Olga of Angelton, Irie Cuevas of Robinson, Ruben Cuevas and wife Sue of Archibold OH. Richard Cuevas of Dallas. And her only sister, Mary Jo Cuevas of Waco. Nieces and nephews, Irie “Frien” Cuevas and wife Sarai of Waco, Sonya Guerrero and husband Olan of Robinson, Israel Cuevas and wife Stephanie of Waco, Jacob Cuevas and wife Olivia of Houston, Ruben Cuevas and wife Delia of Rosenberg, Jennifer Cuevas and fiancé Robert Haselrig of Ohio. Great nieces and nephews, Alyssa Guerrero of Robinson, Olan Guerrero Jr and wife Ruby of Waco, Mary’ah Monrel and husband Julian of Waco, Kamryn Cuevas of Robinson, Ethan Cuevas of Waco and Evan Cuevas of Waco. Her great nieces and nephews and honorary grand babies Kailyn and Judah Hernandez of Marlin. Her many cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 2pm. It will be held at Family of Faith Worship Center, 4112 Memorial Dr, Waco TX with Pastor Gloria Ramos of Dallas officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are Irie “Frien” Cuevas, Israel Cuevas, Jacob Cuevas, Ruben Cuevas, Michael Wayne Rosas, Samuel Griñie, Alex Griñie, Joshua Griñie and Steven Griñie, her nephews.
