Margaret Reid

Margaret H. Reid of Aquilla died on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at her home. Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14 at Wesley Chapel, United Methodist Church in Gholson. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 13 at Connally-Compton Funeral Directors. Burial will be at White Rock Cemetery in Ross. Margaret was born October 16, 1921 near Southland, Texas to Webster and Mattie Few Hutto. In 1927, the family moved to Waco. Margaret graduated from Waco High School in 1938 and Toby’s Business College in 1940. She married Cecil Reid on November 23, 1940. Margaret was a medical secretary and retired from Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in 1983.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband on September 18, 1994; her parents; sister, Lois Jacks; and two brothers, Clopton Hutto and Meredith Hutto. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Margaret and Pete Gilmore of Aquilla and Martha Ann and Larry Davis of Wichita Falls; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Hutto of Waco; six grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
