John R. Rochelle

John R. Rochelle, 82, passed away September 9, 2012 at Providence Hospital in Waco. He was born January 17, 1930 in Hooks, Texas to John and Rosa Leigh Rochelle. John served in the United States Navy as a Yoeman First Class Petty Officer from 1947 to 1952. In 1955 he graduated from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. While in college he worked for Trans Texas Airways and then for Sears until 1967 as a District Manager. That same year he married the love of his life Dorothy and moved to Texarkana, Texas where they went into business for themselves. They moved their businesses to Waco in 1992 where they reside now.

Services will be Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel.

A visitation will be Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Connally Compton Funeral Directors from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Condolences may be made at www.Connally-Compton.com.

He is preceded in death by his parents and first wife Ramona Jean.

John is survived by his wife of 45 years Dorothy Jean of Waco, children Brenda Kistler and husband Wayne of Friendswood, Texas, Nancy Jean Bush and husband Jim of Denton, Texas, Keith Beitler and wife Kelly of Missouri City, Texas, Jim Beitler and wife Cindy of North Richland Hills, Texas, Rosa Minx and husband Johnny of Mesquite, Texas, Jackie Rochelle of Gainesville, Texas, Cheryl Rochelle of Waco, and Susan Jantz and husband David of Burleson, Texas; sisters, Johnnie Slaton and husband Henry of Nash, Texas, Melba Bowerman and husband James of Nash, Texas; 18 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 10 nieces, and 5 nephews.

The family would like to thank the doctors and hospice unit of Providence Hospital.
