Jessie Ramirez, 74, of Waco passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 in Temple, TX. The visitation, Rosary and funeral service will take place at Connally Compton Funeral Home. On Friday, May 20, 2022 visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. with the Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be on Saturday, May 21 at 10 a.m., a military burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Jessie was born on April 28, 1948 in Waco to Guadalupe and Concepion (Nevarez) Ramirez. He married the love of his life, Josephine M. Ramirez on August 12, 1971 in Waco. He served In the Unites States Army during the Vietnam War. Jessie was a longtime member of the VFW Post 2148 in Waco. He also was member of St. Francis Catholic Church and LULAC.
Jessie was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Josephine M. Ramirez, his brother, Lupe Ramirez, and sisters, Anita Ramirez, Andy Ruiz, Lola Jimenez, and Savena Hogeland.
Jessie is survived by his sons, Adam Ramirez and wife, Veronica Ramirez of New Braunfels, TX, and Daniel Ramirez and wife, Sandra Ramirez of Bothell, WA; grandchildren, Abram Ramirez, Sofia Ramirez, Isaac Ramirez, Joana Ramirez, Samuel Ramirez and Gabriel Ramirez; sisters, Modesta Chiricolla and husband, Joe of Staten Island, NY, Mary M. Ramirez of Fort Worth, Nellie Hedary of Waco, Elfie Hanson and husband, Melvin of McGregor and Joanie Garcia of McGregor; brother, Ishmael Ramirez of Speegleville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, prayers, concerns and kindness given to us during this hour of bereavement. We would also like to express our gratitude to Reliable Home Health, Texas Home Health and Temple VA Hospice for their compassion and dedication during Jessie's time of need.
