Guadalupe A Sanchez

Guadalupe Almanza Sanchez, 97 of Waco, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 in Waco, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Benji officiating. Interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.

Guadalupe was born on October 18, 1925 to Juan C and Adelaida (Torres) Almanza in Waco, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Waco. Guadalupe was a member of St. Francis (Guadalupanas) and Sacred Heart Catholic (Apostalados). She worked in customer service at Goodwill industries for over 25 years. Guadalupe enjoyed watching Mexican Soap Operas, and especially raising her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Manuel Almanza and Emilliano Almanza.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary (Taffy) Sanchez Ramos and husband, Freddie of Waco; grandchildren: Freddie Joe Ramos, Jr., Roman David Ramos, Raina Danielle Ramos, Rolando Daniel Ramos, and Ralena Delaida Ramos; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Ismael Almanza of Waco; sisters, Lorenza Sanchez of Waco, Mary Hilda Navarro and husband, Raymond of Buda, and Mary Jessie Almanza of Waco; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or your favorite charity.
