Clarence Ray Rosenkranz, age 80, passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017 in Waco, surrounded by his family. Funeral service will be Friday, Jan. 6, at 10 AM at Connally/Compton with Dr. Cary Killough officiating. Visitation immediately following the service. Interment will be next to his wife in Pineville Cemetery in Pineville, AR.
Clarence was born Jan. 26, 1936 to Carl R and Meta (Kindler) Rosenkranz in Copperas Cove, Texas. He was a longtime resident of McLennan County. Clarence served as a Captain of the volunteer fire department in Copperas Cove from 1956-1965 and served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1957 as a lieutenant. He made his living as a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty G. Rosenkranz.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, son, Andrew Rosenkranz and wife, Shelli of Waco; daughter, Brenda Rieger and husband, Charles of West; grandchildren: Andrew Rieger of West, Ashli Rosenkranz of Waco and one great-grandchild on the way; brother, Delmond Rosenkranz and wife, Diane of Robinson; nieces, Sheryl Baker and husband, Troy of McKinney, Anita Rosenkranz of Robinson; nephew, Kevin Rosenkranz and wife, Courtney of Chalk Bluff and several great nieces.
Pallbearers: Andrew Rieger, Kevin Rosenkranz, Troy Baker, Charles Rieger and Ashli Rosenkranz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the West E.M.S.
