A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 20, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. A reception will be held in her honor at 12:00p.m., at the Connally Compton Reception Hall the same day.
Ann was born in Waco, Texas September 8, 1952 to A.B. and Ada (Rupert) Ewing. She graduated in 1971 from Richfield High School. On August 4, 1979 Ann married the love of her life, Brackston Scott. To that union they had two children, Kendra and Christopher. Ann loved to work with little kids and spent many years as a teacher’s aide at Howard Kindergarten Center in San Antonio.
After living in San Antonio for 21 years, she moved back to Waco and began working in retail. Ann enjoyed going to church and meeting with her church family. She was a long time member of the Highland Baptist Church. Ann loved to shop and visit with family. She was adored by everyone and was known as the sweetest person with a compassionate heart. Ann had a great memory, she always remembered everyone’s birthdates and could call to mind stories from the past. She handled life’s adversities with grace and dignity. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Brackston Scott; children, Kendra Scott Campos and husband Wil and Christopher Scott and wife Brittany (Spain); grandson, Kinsler Brackston Campos and a host of other relatives and friends.
